First Ever Billboard Promoting iPourIt’s Self-Serve Technology

If you’re driving through Fresno, California, you might pass the first of its kind: a roadside billboard devoted to self-serve beer and wine technology. Me N Ed’s, a pizza and craft beer restaurant, has put iPourIt at the center of its latest marketing campaign.

“It’s a great opportunity for consumers to taste different beers that they would like to just try,” said John Ferdinandi, CEO of Milano Restaurants International, which owns 70 restaurants including Me N Ed’s. Ferdinandi is an advocate of self-serve and also loves the taproom experience that iPourIt generates.

After immediate success at Blast 825 Taproom in San Luis Obispo, CA, Milano Restaurants International has begun rolling out iPourIt taps in their other restaurants, including the newly remodeled Me-n-Ed’s On Tap at 1731 W. Bullard Ave. in Fresno, California. At its grand opening on June 30, customers could choose between 32 draft beers and wines on tap, tracking each ounce with a RFID wristband they get at the time of purchase.

“Expect to see more Me-N-Ed’s remodeled into Me-N-Ed’s on Tap with the self-pour system in Fresno and Clovis,” reported The Business Journal. “The company will also be bringing the concept to future Blast and Brew restaurants in Fresno and Clovis too.”

“You usually play it safe and [buy] a beer you’re familiar with,” Ferdinando remarked. “Here you can try something new.”

Milano Restaurants International is trying something new with iPourIt and tapping into the marketing and operational benefits of self-serve beer and wine technology, with many more locations to come. Stay tuned.
