Why Pour Bros. Chose iPourIt Over the Competition

installing self-serve technology

When friends Nathan Monroe and Rob Mathisen decided to open a bar in Central Illinois, they had one mantra: “We don’t want to be like every other craft beer bar.” As they researched ways to differentiate themselves, they agreed on installing self-serve technology, where customers could pour their own samples of different craft beers.

They considered two potential partners: one of which was iPourIt. When the Peoria Journal Star caught up with them in March 2016, the “brothers” were noting that iPourIt supported closer to 50 unique locations, while the competing technology only supported 25 locations at the time. After careful consideration, iPourIt won their business based on their technology, support, and experience.

“iPourIt is very responsive, and I feel that my business is a priority to iPourIt,” remarked Nathan, co-owner of Pour Bros. Craft Taproom. “Everyone has been great to work with.”

The smooth installation and set-up process and ongoing support are due to iPourIt’s not outsourcing the development work or reselling another manufacturer’s product.

iPourIt’s American-manufactured and supported technology was installed at the Pour Bros. location and delivered tasty craft beer to the attendees of their grand opening in late June 2016. When asked if Nathan would recommend iPourIt, he joked, “Yes, I’d recommend it — 300 miles or more away from Peoria Heights!”

With over 1,900 taps in operation today and over 2.5 million ounces poured through the system each month, iPourIt is the clear winner if you’ve considered installing self-serve technology for your business. iPourIt beats the competition and is happy to help give the new Pour Bros. taproom their competitive advantage.
