BRADENTON — The popular Oak & Stone tavern brand that originated in Sarasota continues to grow and expand with a new concept debuting this week in Bradenton.

Located at 6220 14th St. W. in Bradenton, in the former home of 1000 Degrees Pizza, Oak & Stone Fastfire is the brand’s fourth location and first fast-casual pizzeria offering counter service. The 2,500-square-foot new location offers many of the Oak & Stone tavern’s artisan pizzas such as the Winger (Buffalo chicken tenders, hot sauce aioli and blue cheese crumbles), the Popeye (prosciutto and spinach) and the Cuban (roasted pork, ham, pickles and mustard aioli). Oak & Stone’s signature stone-fired Slow Roasted Wings are available at the new Fastfire location, too.

“It’s a scaled down, casual place for pizza and beer,” said Joe Seidensticker, co-founder of Oak & Stone, by phone. “It’s a quick, casual version of Oak & Stone but what makes it unique is it’s also a fun place to hang out.”

Oak & Stone’s popular tap wall of self-serve beer and wine options is featured at Oak & Stone Fastfire, with special emphasis given to local breweries such as Darwin Brewing, Calusa, Naughty Monk and Big Top. A total of 26 beers and four wines will be on rotating tap.

The new Bradenton location offers indoor seating for approximately 50 guests. Guests will also be able to purchase growlers of their favorite brews to take home. Food delivery is available through Bite Squad and guests may also pick up catering orders.

“We’re very excited with the launch of Oak & Stone Fastfire,” said Brett Decklever, co-founder of Oak & Stone, in a statement. “This new concept brings the elements that guests love about Oak & Stone in a location that is convenient and easily accessible. Whether guests dine in or carry out at this new Bradenton location, they’ll enjoy the unmistakable Oak & Stone experience.”

Just as at other Oak & Stone locations, “beertenders” will be on hand to guide guests through the beer selection process.

Oak & Stone Fastfire in Bradenton is open daily beginning at 11:30 a.m.

Oak & Stone debuted in 2016 on University Parkway and opened its second Sarasota location, on Clark Road, in May. Oak & Stone also has a location in downtown St. Petersburg with another planned to open in Naples in late 2019.

The brand’s most highly anticipated location, in the new SpringHill Suites by Marriott hotel in downtown Bradenton with a rooftop bar offering sweeping views of the Manatee River and Tampa Bay, is nearing completion.

“We’re hoping for the first week of November,” Seidensticker said of the Springhill Suites location. “The rooftop, everything, we want to open it all at once.”
