The Vault Taproom, An Upscale Casual Dining Concept Serving Southern-Fusion Comfort Food in South Side, Offers 30 Self-Pour Taps Using iPourIt’s Dispense Technology

Pittsburgh, Penn. – The Vault Taproom, South Side’s first and only self-pour taproom and kitchen, encourages people to break out of their comfort zone and try something new. The taproom is in the heart of Pittsburgh’s premier restaurant, bar, and club district South Side, making it a new hot spot for locals and visitors. Owner & Operator Kyle Wolfe adds, “We believe in surrounding ourselves with great people, companies, and products. A great team is an essential foundation for success, and we believe that iPourIt fits our mold and enhances our team. Also, the self-serve draft concept reduces and almost eliminates the ‘risk-taking’ aspect of trying something new.”

Co-Owners Kyle and Josh and Founder of Sofranko Advisory Group (SAG) Ronald Sofranko worked to raise the capital, find the location site, and consult on business operations to make this project possible. The Vault Taproom is located at 1327 East Carson Street, the location of the former Beehive Coffeehouse. The atmosphere is open and inviting with warm and bright colors contrasted by neutrals to create a color-splash effect.

The 30-tap self-serve wall features a rotating selection of craft beers, ciders, and wines, complemented by a 20-seat bar with a craft cocktail menu, bottled beer, and wine. The Vault Taproom also offers an executive chef-driven menu focusing on small plates and shareables. Executive Chef Todd Cassell comes from Vermont and brings southern-leaning flavors to Pittsburgh inspired by his time in barbeque venues.

The combination of affordable high-quality food in a small-plate format and self-serve beverages allows the customer to experience something new and different without the financial risk of purchasing something they don’t like.  The pour-your-own concept allows patrons to pour their own beverage, make their own buying and pricing decisions, avoid long bar lines, and try a specialized offering of their choosing without having to purchase an entire pint.

The Vault Taproom opened July 18, 2019, and provides dining and bar service Tuesday through Sunday, 11 AM to Midnight.
